One problem is that this means that _all_ settings are fixed, which is normally not something one wants. If you want to make that selection static, so that it does not change if you open images from another folder, you would have to keep a copy of the JPEGCrops.ini file where the right source folder is specified and overwrite the normal JPEGCrops.ini with it, before starting JPEGCrops. JPEGCrops remembers the folder it last opened an image from. jpg is not good, it's mean : look like this Hello, maybe i found the Bug! When i cut pictures, EXIF in cuted. thanks for any help! Love the program otherwise! Unless I missed something, it seems very strange to have this beautiful program needlessly limited because of the assumption that no one will ever need to crop an area finer than 16 pixels? If there's already a way to work that, I didn't find it. You have the ability to change the crop area by single pixels, why did you overlook its movement? I would either have an option of turning off the 'snap to 16px grid', or some functionality where you can drag/move the crop area to exact pixel locations while holding down the shift key, say. I found the custom crop box sizes easily enough, but trying to drag the window to where I want it, even in large view, jumps by 16 pixels in both directions, whether using the mouse or keyboard. Trying to batch crop a folder of like-sized images, say to take a 300*200 chunk of each picture starting at (380, 70) - and it won't let me! Great program almost exactly what I was looking for - one problem that I found. I've just been much to busy the last year or som. You can import the image again into JPEGCrops, ant it should work fine: The bug isn't related to specific files.Īnd in case anyone's wondering, no, I haven't stopped developing JPEGCrops. Could you please send me an image befor and after crop, that does this?Īs for the white, then it's an error I haven't tracked down yet. I'm very surprised that some of the cropped files should take longer to load. The quality is exactly the same as your original JPEG. The problem with non-equal-sized images is what should happen, when the crop-area for one image can't be the same as one for another image.īrian M: There is no compression setting, as the process is lossless. It wouldn't be har to add, but can't you accomplish the same by looking at the PPI indicator?Įdward: Yes, the synchronization only works on equal-sized images by design. JimB: Specifying the physical width and height only makes sense, if you specify the PPI at the same time. Thanks for the continuing development of this great program!! I have no problems with this quantity of pictures loading up. I just will remove them and crop them in PaintShop Pro no problem but have you seen this before?Īs far as loading large quantity of pictures at a time, I get around the lockup problem for now by splitting the pictures up into folders of 300 pictures and less. When loading up pictures, I see probably 2 or 3 out of 250 pictures are just white. I do get a few files that when I load them up into Photoshop or PaintShop Pro, take take a lot longer to load. I see that I can't choose the compression setting, compared to Photoshop, what is the compression setting you have it set to, 8, 10? My question is about the compression setting. Much faster then Photoshop and PaintShop Pro when you are talking about 500+ pictures at a time!
